This XBee Zigbee S2C module is based on XB24CZ7WIT-004 controller and has onboard 2mW wire antenna which makes it standalone device to use without any external antenna.

This Zigbee S2C is series 2 module which is faster, energy efficient and has significantly more RAM and flash than series 1 modules.

Series 1 and Series 2 XBee Zigbee modules have exactly the same pin-out assignment. However, Series 1 modules cannot communicate with Series 2 modules.
